Token questions
Is BACKD live?
Not yet. The sidebar card shows it as coming soon with Buy and Sell switched off until launch.
When does it launch?
After the beta and after legal review in every country involved. The date is set once that review is done; the review also decides where it can be held.
Can I buy it now?
No. There is nothing to buy, no price and no listing. Anyone offering you BACKD today is not Backd.
Will Backd sell tokens?
No sale is planned. Launch details come here in the docs and on Backd's own channels first. Backd will never ask you to send money or connect a wallet to receive a token.
What's the flywheel?
The mechanism that ties BACKD to Backd's 1% fee: half of what Backd keeps buys the token back and burns it, half pays for growth, and the token's own flow splits the same way. It is drawn out on the flywheel page, with the options still open and the questions legal review has to answer.
Where are the numbers published?
On a public ledger page in these docs once the loop is running: fees in, costs, platform profit, and every buyback and burn with its transaction. Its shape is on the flywheel page; the figures appear when there are figures.
Does using Backd earn BACKD?
Not today. Backing calls earns XP and a rank, and the referral shares and rank rebates described on the XP and referrals pages are tracked in dollars. Whether bought-back tokens flow into those rewards is one of the options on the flywheel page, decided after legal review.
Does it change the 1% fee?
No. The fee is 1% on each filled order, collected by Polymarket, and any change to it would be announced on the fees page on its own terms. The flywheel is about what Backd does with its own income.
