Deposit and withdraw

Backd uses USDC, a dollar stablecoin, on the Polygon network, because that's what Polymarket's order book trades in. One USDC is one dollar.

Before you deposit

• Finish sign-up: your wallet is created and Polymarket's contracts are approved. Both happen the first time you open Wallet.
• Have USDC on Polygon. Sending it on another network (Ethereum mainnet, Solana, Base) won't arrive. Most exchanges let you pick the network when you withdraw.

Depositing

1. Open Wallet, then Deposit.

   You'll see your address and a QR code. It's the same address every time.

2. Send USDC on Polygon.

   From an exchange, another wallet or a card on-ramp. Minimum $1, no maximum.

3. Wait 5 to 20 seconds.

   Your balance updates by itself. You can back a call straight away.

Paying by card

Choose Buy with card in the deposit screen. A payment partner sells you USDC and sends it to your wallet; their fee is shown before you pay and Backd doesn't add to it. Cards aren't available in every country.

Withdrawing

1. Open Wallet, then Withdraw.

   Enter an amount (minimum $1, no maximum) and a Polygon address. Check the address twice: transfers can't be reversed.

2. Sign.

   Your wallet asks you to approve. Nothing moves until you do.

3. Done in 5 to 20 seconds.

   Money in open positions can't be withdrawn until you sell or the market settles.

If something looks wrong

• Deposit not showing after a few minutes: check it was sent on Polygon, to the exact address, and that the transaction has confirmed on a block explorer. Then tell us with the transaction hash.
• Balance lower than expected: open positions, and the fee on filled orders, come out of the balance. Wallet shows both.
