How markets settle

When

Markets settle on the official result, as Polymarket publishes it. Backd checks every 15 minutes, so your record updates soon after a result is in. Long-dated markets (“by the end of 2027”) settle when they resolve, which can be months away.

What counts as a result

• An outcome priced at 99% or more on a closed market is the winner.
• A closed market with every outcome at the same price (50/50) is void.
• Anything else waits.

Combos and challenges

Each pick in a combo settles with its own market. The combo loses on the first lost pick and wins when every pick is in. Challenges settle with their market; ones never answered expire after seven days.
